Disability Action Plan 2009-2011
Melbourne Water has a strong commitment to its employees, stakeholders and the community. We aim to create an environment of equal access to our services & products and premises & employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Our commitment is reflected in Melbourne Water’s Disability Action Plan (PDF, 604kB).
The Plan aims to achieve four key outcomes for people with disabilities:
- accessible premises, services and facilities
- equitable employment opportunities
- promoting inclusion and participation in the community
- achieving organisational cultural change in attitudes and practices which discriminate against people with a disability.
The Disability Action Plan acknowledges Melbourne Water’s obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 to create, as far as possible, an environment of equal access to products, services, premises and employment opportunities for people with a disability.
