Corporate Sustainability
To help us reach our corporate sustainability goals, we have set ourselves a number of targets, which are listed as key performance indicators (KPIs) in our corporate plan.
Our workplace targets are to reduce:
- electricity usage
- water consumption
- volume of waste to landfill
- paper use.
Reducing our resource use has also become a part of our Enterprise Agreement to give staff added incentive to achieve sustainability goals.
Given the critical impact of climate change on our water, sewerage, waterways and drainage assets, we have also set ourselves some ambitious goals around using renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

GreenHouse Games Champions
In 2010 we participated in Sustainability Victoria's GreenHouse Gamesand scored
amongst the best performing workplaces. The GreenHouse Games is a
challenge for workplaces where employee's households complete energy,
water and waste saving actions over a period of eight weeks, reducing
their impact on the planet, while potentially improving their health and
achieving cost savings.
